Because we are truly experts in our field, we tell the truth, we have our own experienced installation team and we deal with difficult projects on a daily basis, rather than just occasionally.
Primarily, gable windows, triangular windows, skylights, sloping windows, arched and circular windows, bifold doors, and large expanses of glass, but we have yet to be defeated by a tricky project so this list is not exhaustive!
Duette (cellular), Plissé (single-pleated), wood and aluminium Venetian, vertical, roller & pinoleum, as well as plantation shutters – we can also source almost any other type of blind if required.
Yes, we certainly do! Often we need to make rectangular blinds to cover the other windows in the same room as a shaped window and to ensure they match and operate together, but we have also undertaken many projects with no shapes at all.
Most of our shaped Duette blinds are motorised, as the mechanisms do not lend themselves to manual operation - and the blinds are often very large and out of reach, however there are manual options such a Venetian or roller blinds, which work in some situations.
Yes - we generally use Somfy motors which can be linked to most home automation systems, additional hardware may be required for this, but we are happy to work with your automation specialists to come up with the best interface. We can also use other brands of motor if neccessary, including Lutron.
Our blinds are custom made, mainly by hand, in factories in South London, Norfolk, and Cheshire, with more specialist systems being made in Warwickshire and the Netherlands. We are proud to provide high-quality British-made blinds and do our utmost both to support the UK manufacturing industry and also to reduce our transport emissions wherever possible.
We operate across the UK (and internationally upon request) but our team is based in Oxfordshire so our survey & installation charges will rise the further we travel.
We do not recommend buying shaped blinds supply-only, as they are very easy to get wrong and mistakes will be costly.
Shaped blinds are far more difficult to manufacture than rectangular ones - they require a huge amount of skill and experience, as well as time, space, and specialist equipment. For our factory team to make one triangular blind will take many times longer than a similarly-sized rectangular one, and the blinds need to be tested more rigorously to ensure they will operate correctly. This is all in addition to the extra time and skill required on site to measure and fit the blinds correctly.
We always supply our initial estimates remotely, so just pop us an email with a photo of your window and the approximate sizes (just the width, tallest height and smallest height is usually ok), or architectural drawings if you have them. We can then put together a proposal for the solutions available for your window shape and geometry.
If you are happy with our proposals and prices in principle, then we will need to come and meet you on site to see the windows in the flesh and decide on the final specification for the blinds. This initial design visit can then be followed by our detailed site survey at a later date, or the two may be combined depending on the project. Just contact us to arrange an appointment.
While we are primarily a retail-focused company, we do work with other blind companies, as well as with designers and architects, so do get in touch to discuss your requirements - there is no need to open a trade account, as every project will be dealt with individually.
For more information about any of our products or services, please do not hesitate to get in touch. If you would like a detailed estimate for your project, no matter how big or small, please email us with photographs and dimensions, or architectural drawings.
Our prices start from £2,000.00 + VAT for full survey and installation.
